Just recently I had been continuously seeing the commercial from NatGeo Channel that they will be switching off their lights for one hour on the 28th of March. The purpose of this is for the EARTH Day!! Actually, United Nations supported the World Wildlife Fund program aimed on presenting before the Global Climate Change Conference on December of this year 2009 in determining official government policies aimed on overcoming Global Warming. Various business establishment and people on all walks of life will switch off their lights globally for one hour from 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening of March 28 to vote for Mother Earth.

This should also be a practice in business establishments, to turn off any electrical appliances, when not anymore needed. Also for civilians to make sure our appliances are not on the standby mode (except refrigerator, of course) when we are not using them. This is one way to protect our one and only planet because this lessens carbon emission.

As has always been said, we have only one PLANET, we should take care of it because losing it would mean losing our very place to stay surviving.

Have a nice day!

This award had been given by Doods of Dreamworksorg. My apology it took too long to post your tag; The 10 Commandments are not a multiple choice.

1) Our mind is like a only functions when open...

2) One thing you can give and still keep... is your word.

3) You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself if you lack the courage to start, you have already finished.

4) One thing you can't recycle is wasted time. Ideas won't work if 'YOU' do.

5) The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

6) The heaviest thing that you can carry is a grudge.

7) Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. A sharp tongue can cut your own throat.

8) If you want to make your dreams come true, you must not oversleep.
9) Of all the things you wear,your expression is the most important.

10) The best vitamin for making friends.... B1.
11) The pursuit of happiness is a chase of a lifetime! It's never too late to become of what you might have been.

12) Life is too short to wake up with regrets.So love the people who treat you right...Forget the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

13) Friends are like balloons, once you let them go you might not get them back. Sometimes we get so busy with our lives and problems that we may not even notice that we've let them fly away.Sometimes we are caught up with who's right or who's wrong.Sometimes we just don't realize what friendship means until it's too late. I don't want to let that happen so I'm gonna tie you to my heart so I never lose you

This tag is open for every one who would visit this entry.
Have a nice day, every one!

March is not only Fire Prevention Month in the Philippines but also Women’s Month. I believe it is worldwide that women’s Month is celebrated on this month. The theme of the United Nations Commission for womens’ status is “Financing For Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women” and I am very proud that in the Philippines, third world country as it may, is one of those countries who achieves closing in the gender gap. This is no sugar talk, It is true.
When ever I read about the Womens’ Month, I read about womens achievements. Women who top the bar examination, women who made a mark in their community and so on and so forth. Womens’ month is focused on womens’ empowerment and achieving an equal opportunity with men in terms of education, place in the government, employment, benefits and others. This is the month for the women who became pillars in our society, but most of all, this is the month for the regular housewife, for the vendor in the market, for a rank and file employee, for women who strive to make both ends meet, for single mothers, for women who keep their family intact, for ALL women. Furthermore, equal footing is not just in terms of achievements but also for the so called stronger sex to acknowledge that women are not mere partner in bed, not just another beautiful face and body, but a soul who are entitled to be respected as well, not just in terms of what she achieved or what she can do, but the fact that she is also a human being, in equal, and not a second class, member of her family and of a community.

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

It is a pleasure to receive such tag from Cecille of Kitchen The Heart Of Our Home, whom i strongly feel to be such a wonderful lady. Thanks so much!

I remember once someone told me that between being robbed and being a victim of fire, she would rather choose to be robbed because if fire catches up her home, she would lose the four foundation of her house, no house to live in, nothing. All her property will turn into ashes. Personally, I would not choose any! However, she raised a strong point, it is very hard when one becomes a victim of fire. In the Philippines, March is the month that focuses on fire prevention. As they said, better be safe than sorry. It is very true, right?

Secretary Angelo T. Reyes urged the need of Bureau of Fire of Protection to be alert to respond on fire incidents. I believe that it should be a two way road. Fire fighters should be vigilant and civilians should also take the necessary precautions to protect our property:

Here are some tips to prevent fire, hopefully this could contribute something:
1) Never leave a lit candle unattended ;
2) Never smoke in bed or in a sofa;
3) Turn off the stove when done cooking
4) Avoid “octopus” outlets; Avoid electrical overload.
5) Keep matches and/or cigarette lighter out of childrens’ reach.
6) Always keep address book near the phone, with updated number of establishments or institutions that you can call in case of emergency.
7) Make sure all electrical outlets are unplug when you will leave your house, this can also save us electric bill.

Tips are few, i suppose, but hopefully you can find which can be beneficial for you.

Have a nice day!

March connotes Saint Davids Day in England, Canada and some part of United States. This is actually a festival day. Saint David, also named Dewi Sant in the Welsh language, is the Patron Saint of Wales. He lived during the sixth century and was the archbishop of Wales. It was said that St. David died on March 1, hence, St. Davids’ had been commemorated and had been a national festival every 1st of March. Celebration is associated with a Red Dragon, worn as a pin, pendant of even flown as a flag.

Well, here is to greet those who observed the festival :
