NATIONAL FREEDOM DAY

What happened in the history on this day? Today, February 1, was when Abraham Lincoln confirmed and signed a resolution that would demolish slavery. This resolution had later become the 13th Amendment in United States Constitution. This date was February 1, 1865. From thereon, National Freedom Day had been celebrated every 1st of February of every year. This date marks the freedom of the African American from racial discrimination and slavery. More into that, this marks the concept that equality does not see through race nor skin color. This date is also known as the National Freedom Day in the United States.
